Knitted toe-up, with a heel flap & gusset construction, this socks feature an all-over stranded pattern inspired by the fictional character “Fidelma”, set on the Early Medieval Ireland.
The yarn I used (Escorial) is a breed specific yarn made of Spanish Merino. This is a two-ply fingering weight, non-superwash yarn, ideal for stranded knitting projects.
The sock pattern includes written descriptions, charts for the colour-work, & an annex with photo-tutorials describing all the techniques used.
The design is available in three circumference sizes. The different circumference sizes are achieved by changing needle size. The length of the leg and foot are adjustable.
